BERLIN, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) -- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Berlin on Sunday afternoon for talks with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and other European leaders.
The German government said in a statement earlier this week that Merz would receive Zelensky on Monday for German-Ukrainian economic talks and an exchange on the status of peace negotiations in Ukraine. "Numerous European heads of state and government, as well as the leaders of the European Union and NATO, will join the discussions," it said.
German newspaper Bild reported that Zelensky may also hold talks with representatives of U.S. President Donald Trump, but did not elaborate further. ■
