MOSCOW, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) -- Russian air defenses downed four guided aerial bombs and 290 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles over the past day, Russia's Defense Ministry said Sunday.
According to the ministry, Russian forces have hit fuel depots and temporary deployment sites of the Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 142 locations.
Russian forces have taken control of the village of Varvarovka in the Zaporizhzhia region, it said, adding that the forces continue to advance deeper into Ukrainian defenses. ■
