PRAGUE, Nov. 26 (Xinhua) -- Prague firefighters reported Tuesday that they were tackling a fire in a dressing room at the historic National Theater in the Czech capital.
"The intervention is at the second alarm level. The site is under investigation, and the extent of the fire is being assessed," the Prague Fire Brigade stated on social media platform X.
Firefighters were alerted to the blaze shortly before 3 p.m. local time, with smoke seen rising from the upper floors of the building. The structure has been evacuated, according to the Czech News Agency.
"The site investigation is ongoing. The intervention involves the use of high-altitude equipment," the fire brigade added in an updated post.
Local medical rescuers confirmed on X that no injuries have been reported so far. ■
