MOSCOW, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) -- Moscow does not rule out the possibility of communication between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President-elect Donald Trump before Trump's official inauguration in January, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Thursday.
Peskov noted that Trump had previously said he would call Putin before the inauguration. The spokesperson also added that work on organizing a meeting between Putin and Trump is not underway yet.
Trump, who previously held the U.S. presidency from 2017 to 2021, won the 2024 U.S. presidential race on Wednesday, defeating Democratic candidate and current Vice President Kamala Harris. ■
