TIRANA, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) -- Three people were killed and one injured in a shooting incident on Wednesday evening in Shkoder, northern Albania.
Local media reported that suspects, including a driver and two attackers, fired from a Range Rover at two victims traveling in a Mercedes-Benz, which subsequently collided with a motorcycle. Of the two individuals on the motorcycle, one was killed and the other injured.
The two victims in the Mercedes-Benz were confirmed dead at the scene, and the injured individual was later taken to a hospital.
The suspects abandoned the Range Rover in a nearby village, set it on fire, and fled. Police reviewed security footage but were unable to identify any suspects.
The victims were reportedly relatives of a local politician and influential figure. Believing the incident to be linked to gang-related conflict, police detained several individuals for questioning. However, they were later released. ■
