HANOI, May 25 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's fruit and vegetable export turnover exceeded 2.67 billion U.S. dollars in the first five months of this year, up 16 percent year-on-year, the Vietnam News Agency reported on Monday.
China, the United States and South Korea remained Vietnam's top importers of fruits and vegetables between January and May, according to the report.
Meanwhile, exports to markets including the Netherlands, Germany and Malaysia maintained robust growth, helping the country reduce reliance on a small number of major export destinations, the report added.
Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports are expected to sustain growth in the months ahead, as many key fruits enter their peak harvest seasons with sufficient supply, improved quality and better traceability standards, the report noted. ■
