NEW DELHI, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) -- India's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) was expected to grow in the range of 6.3-6.8 percent during the financial year 2025-26 (April 2025-March 2026), said a forecast of the country's economic survey issued by the finance ministry on Friday.
According to the survey, as per the first advance estimates of national income the country's real GDP and Gross Value Added (GVA) growth was estimated at 6.4 percent during the financial year 2024-25 (April 2024-March 2025).
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman tabled the economic survey in parliament on Friday.
The survey is a pre-budget document detailing the state of the economy over the last fiscal year. The finance minister was scheduled to present the federal budget on Saturday. ■
