SIEM REAP, Cambodia, Jan. 30 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia on Thursday officially launched e-ticket vending machines, allowing tourists to the Angkor Archaeological Park to buy tickets directly from the machines.

A total of 15 machines have been installed, including six each at the Angkor Enterprise's ticket office and the Angkor Parvis hospitality complex, and three at the Heritage Walk shopping mall.

Speaking at the launching event, Deputy Prime Minister Neth Savoeun said "the launch of these e-ticket vending machines is also an important means to strengthen the efficiency of revenue collection for the government."

In addition, visitors can still purchase tickets via the Angkor Enterprise website and mobile app, as well as at the ticket office.

The 401-square-kilometer Angkor Archaeological Park is home to 91 ancient temples, which had been built from the ninth to the 13th centuries.

The ancient site, which is the kingdom's most popular tourist destination, attracted a total of 1.02 million international tourists in 2024, generating a gross revenue of 47.8 million U.S. dollars from ticket sales, according to the Angkor Enterprise.

The entrance fee for a one-day visit to the Angkor is 37 dollars, a three-day visit costs 62 dollars, and a week-long visit costs 72 dollars.
