Kyrgyzstan to adopt National Development Program until 2030

BISHKEK, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- Kyrgyzstan will adopt a National Development Program for the period from 2025 to 2030, Kyrgyz Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliyev said during a meeting of the Cabinet on Friday.

"Within the framework of this program, a plan for the next 6 years will be determined," the Kyrgyz official said.

Kasymaliyev explained that the goals of the program are to increase the efficiency of public administration, improve the well-being of the people, develop human potential, develop strategic sectors of the economy and implement national projects.

"Over the past four years, a solid foundation for the state has been laid. Kyrgyzstan has worthily passed the first stage of development. After the adoption of the program until 2030, we will enter the second stage of development," he concluded.

Additionally, the prime minister noted that Kyrgyzstan had achieved significant economic progress in 2024. The country's GDP surpassed 1.5 trillion som (about 16.5 billion U.S. dollar), which is a 9 percent increase compared to 2023.
