NEW YORK, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 jolted 33 km SE of Lata, Solomon Islands at 21:37:01 GMT on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 48.1 km, was initially determined to be at 10.96 degrees south latitude and 165.99 degrees east longitude. ■
