HANOI, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- More than 157,200 new enterprises were established in Vietnam in 2024 with a total registered capital of over 59 billion U.S. dollars, local media reported on Thursday, citing the General Statistics Office.
The firms employ more than 1 million workers, a 5.4 percent decline compared to 2023.
The average registered capital of a newly established enterprise in 2024 was 38,600 dollars, down 0.4 percent year on year. ■
