CANBERRA, Jan. 6 (Xinhua) -- Three people are missing at sea after two separate incidents off the coast of South Australia (SA) on Monday.
Police and ambulance crews were called to a beach near Point Connor, about 320 km south of Adelaide, at 11:30 a.m. local time on Monday after a boat capsized.
A spokesperson from the SA Ambulance Service said that one person was being treated on the beach but that two more were missing in the water.
Emergency services, including police, the State Emergency Service and Country Fire Service, have launched a search for the missing two people.
In a separate incident, a person was reported missing in the water at a beach in Adelaide's western suburbs at 1:20 p.m. local time.
News Corp Australia newspapers reported that a police helicopter has joined the search for the missing person. SA Police asked members of the public to avoid the area while the search is ongoing. ■
