MANILA, Dec. 26 (Xinhua) -- The Philippines' Bureau of Treasury said Thursday that the government's budget deficit was 213 billion pesos (about 3.67 billion U.S. dollars) in November this year.
The bureau said the November budget deficit brought the January to November budget deficit to 1.18 trillion pesos (about 20.35 billion dollars), more expansive than the 1.11 trillion pesos (about 19.14 billion dollars) gap in the same period last year.
"The national government is on track to surpass its revenue goal in 2024 with collections growing by 15.2 percent to 4.1 trillion pesos (about 70.71 billion dollars) as of the end of November, representing 96.12 percent of the full-year program of 4.3 trillion pesos (about 74.16 billion dollars)," the bureau added.
The bureau said the year-to-date budget deficit of 1.2 trillion pesos (about 20.7 billion dollars) "remains well within target, representing 79.29 percent of the 1.5 trillion pesos (about 25.87 billion dollars) full-year program for the year." ■
