KABUL, Dec. 12 (Xinhua) -- The Afghan caretaker government's Ministry of Public Health announced Thursday that 318 general hospitals will be built in 318 districts throughout the country.
The hospitals will be constructed at a cost of 6 billion afghani (about 86 million U.S. dollars), which is being financed through the domestic budget, the ministry said.
Construction of these hospitals will take place in the near future, it added.
The Afghan caretaker government has promised to improve the health sector by building more hospitals and health clinics across the Central Asian country. ■
