NEW DELHI, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) -- Rescuers in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu have retrieved four bodies from a landslide site, officials said.
The landslide triggered by heavy rains on Sunday pushed boulders on a residential building, trapping seven people in Tiruvannamalai, about 195 km west of Chennai, the capital city of Tamil Nadu.
Officials said on Monday that large rocks were making it difficult for scanning machines to detect the trapped ones.
The officials said a second landslide hit Tiruvannamalai Monday afternoon. It was not immediately known if there were any casualties in this accident. ■
