BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) -- Brunei marked World Intellectual Property Day with a celebration jointly organized by the Brunei Intellectual Property Office and telecommunications company on Monday, local media reported.
According to The Bruneian, the event was held in Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital city of the sultanate. Nor Hashimah, attorney general and registrar of trademarks, patents, and industrial designs, emphasized intellectual property as a key driver for sustainable development.
Brunei is an oil-rich Southeast Asian country located on Borneo Island. The event gathered around 200 participants from government, academia, businesses, and the legal sector. ■
