BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- The Asia Pacific Information and Communications Technology Alliance (APICTA) Awards will be held in Brunei from Wednesday to Saturday, local media reported on Monday.
According to the local daily Borneo Bulletin, the APICTA Awards 2024 is a landmark event uniting talent and visionaries from across the region to celebrate and advance ICT excellence. In addition to the competition, the event will offer a range of engaging activities designed to foster innovation and collaboration.
Haji Hadi Iskandar, a key member of the APICTA Awards 2024 Secretariat, said that the vision of APICTA extends beyond awarding recognition, and it aims to support local innovators by creating opportunities for long-term growth and enabling them to scale their innovations for global markets.
The digital economy is an important sector in Brunei's government-driven economic diversification strategy. ■
