BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- Nineteen individuals from academic and the hospitality industry in Brunei have completed a food production training program, local media reported on Monday.
According to the local daily Borneo Bulletin, the program was organized by Brunei's Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, aiming to enhance the skills and knowledge of local trainers in food production.
The participants were equipped with the latest industry standards and best practices, enabling them to deliver high-quality training programs to the next generation of tourism professionals, the Borneo Bulletin reported.
Brunei is an oil-rich Southeast Asian country. The food industry is an important sector in Brunei's government-driven economic diversification strategy. ■
