BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- An international cruise ship, the Seven Seas Explorer, made its inaugural visit to Brunei on Friday, arriving from Malaysia with 666 passengers and 545 crew members on board, local media reported.
According to the local daily Borneo Bulletin, it marks the seventh international cruise ship to visit the Sultanate in 2024. The passengers enjoyed a guided city tour and a range of local delicacies, drinks, and souvenirs.
The Brunei government is committed to economic diversification and tourism development. Brunei's Tourism Development Department anticipates five additional calls before the end of 2024. ■
