NEW DELHI, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- Two Indian fishermen went missing after a fishing vessel collided with an Indian submarine about 70 nautical miles northwest of the southern coastal state of Goa, confirmed a source in the Indian navy on Friday.
There were a total 13 fishermen on the vessel and 11 of them were rescued instantly.
"Search and Rescue efforts for remaining two (fishermen) is underway and is being coordinated with the Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre, Mumbai," said an Indian navy statement.
The cause of the collision between the submarine and fishing vessel was currently under investigation. ■
