SINGAPORE, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- Singapore Airlines (SIA) transported more than 2.24 million passengers in October, up 12.9 percent year-on-year, according to its latest operating statistics.
The cargo loads of SIA Group increased 20.2 percent year-on-year last month on the back of higher peak season shipments and freighter charters.
Meanwhile, the low-cost airline Scoot within the group recorded nearly 1.06 million passengers, a year-on-year decrease of 3.7 percent.
The SIA Group's passenger network covered 127 destinations as of October, and the cargo service comprised 131 destinations. ■
