HANOI, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's gold ring price plunged to below 80 million Vietnamese dong (3,155 U.S. dollars) per tael on Wednesday morning, the lowest rate in the past nearly two months, local media reported.
The gold ring price has declined by 2.7 million dong (106.5 dollars) per tael, or around 3 percent, in the past three days.
At 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Saigon Jewelry Company's gold ring price went down by 200,000 dong (7.9 dollars) to 79.5 million dong (3,136 dollars) for sellers and 82.2 million dong (3,242 dollars) for buyers per tael compared to the previous day's trading session.
Jewelry firm DOJI's gold ring saw the same price as Tuesday at 80.5 million dong (3,175 dollars) for sellers and 83.2 million dong (3,282 dollars) for buyers per tael.
Meanwhile, gold bar price remained stable at 80.5 million dong for sellers and 84 million dong (3,313 dollars) for buyers per tael.
Vietnam's gold ring price hit its record high of 89 million dong (3,510 dollars) in late October. (A tael equals 37.5 grams or 1.2 ounces). ■
