SEOUL, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) -- South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol's approval rating fell 2 percentage points over the week to 17 percent this week, a weekly poll showed Friday.
It marked the lowest since Yoon took office in May 2022, according to local pollster Gallup Korea.
The negative assessment on Yoon's conduct of state affairs gained 2 percentage points to 74 percent.
Support for the ruling conservative People Power Party sank 3 percentage points to 29 percent this week compared to the previous week.
The main liberal opposition Democratic Party's popularity rating advanced 4 percentage points to 36 percent.
The minor left-leaning Rebuilding Korea Party posted 7 percent of support score this week, while the minor center-right New Reform Party logged 3 percent of approval score.
The results were based on a survey of 1,002 voters conducted from Tuesday to Thursday. It had plus and minus 3.1 percentage points in margin of error with a 95-percent confidence level. ■
