ASADABAD, Afghanistan, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) -- Afghan authorities launched a three-day local products exhibition in the Kunar province of eastern Afghanistan, said Mawlawi Mohammad Tayeb Yousuf, the provincial director of industry and commerce, on Thursday.
"The exhibition aims to create market opportunities for locally produced goods and to encourage the public to choose domestic products over foreign alternatives," Yousuf stated.
Local entrepreneurs and farmers showcase a variety of goods, including agricultural, industrial, and commercial products, at 53 kiosks throughout the event, which is set to conclude on Saturday afternoon.
In October, Afghan authorities organized similar local product exhibitions in the provinces of Helmand in the south, Balkh in the north, and Khost in the east. ■
