NEW YORK, Oct. 24 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 jolted Volcano Islands, Japan region, at 17:51:28 GMT on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 25.54 degrees north latitude and 142.67 degrees east longitude. ■
