MANILA, Oct. 1 (Xinhua) -- The approval and trust ratings of Philippine President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos and Vice President Sara Duterte dropped in September, according to the latest national survey released Monday night.

An independent survey by Pulse Asia Inc., conducted from Sept. 6 to 13 this year with 2,400 people aged 18 and above, found that 50 percent of the respondents approved of Marcos' performance, down from the 53 rating he earned in the June survey. Marcos' trust rating also dipped to 50 percent in September from 52 in June.

Duterte's approval rating was 60 percent in September, lower than the 69 percent rating she received in June. Her trust rating fell to 61 percent from 71 in June.

Although Duterte's trust rating fell by 10 percent in the September survey, her score is still 11 percent higher than Marcos's.
