ISLAMABAD, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- A hand grenade attack in Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province on Sunday left at least seven people injured, police said.
According to police in the area, some unknown miscreants threw a hand grenade in a market area of Kharan district of the province and fled the scene, injuring seven people on the spot.
Following the attack, police, security forces and rescue teams rushed to the site and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital in the district.
Several among the wounded are said to be in critical condition, police said while quoting hospital sources.
Police and security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search to arrest the culprits.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet. ■
