KABUL, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) -- The Afghan caretaker government's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued visas to 41,959 foreign nationals over the past one year, official data showed on Thursday.
Afghan Acting Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi said that currently there are 39 Afghan embassies and consulates operating in various countries.
High-ranking officials of 14 countries, including Russia, Iran, Türkiye, as well as representatives of the European Union and other international organizations traveled to Afghanistan during the cited period, Muttaqi added.
Since resuming power in August 2021, the Afghan caretaker government is seeking to strengthen sustainable relations with other countries. ■
