JAKARTA, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) -- A MotoGP museum at the Mandalika Circuit in West Nusa Tenggara of Indonesia will be open to the public soon.

The museum is constructed by PT Injourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) in collaboration with MotoGP organizer Dorna Sports. It has now been 97 percent complete.

"This museum is not just for MotoGP 2024, but will be a permanent establishment showcasing the history of motorcycle racing," said ITDC President Director Ari Respati on Wednesday.

Located to the north of the VIP Deluxe stands at the Mandalika Circuit, the museum will also serve as a new tourist destination to boost local tourism and economy.

The MotoGP world racing championship will be held at the Mandalika Circuit from Sept. 27 to 29, 2024.
