Brunei competes in 2024 Asian University Wushu Championship in China

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, June 19 (Xinhua) -- The national wushu team of Brunei Darussalam has departed to compete in the 2024 Asian University Wushu Championship, according to a local media report on Wednesday.

Bruneian athlete Basma Lachkar is set to compete in the Female Taolu event, while athlete Hosea Wong will compete in the Male Taolu event. The Brunei team is led by coach Zhao Chunjie, and coach Li Hui has been invited to serve as a referee for the Championship, as reported by the local daily Borneo Bulletin.

The 2024 Asian University Wushu Championship is being held in Harbin, China's Heilongjiang Province, and is hosted by the Asian University Sports Federation (AUSF), co-hosted by the Federation of University Sport of China (FUSC) and the local government.
