ISLAMABAD, June 26 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan reported 406 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health said on Sunday.
The overall tally of the infected people climbed to 1,533,888 across the country after adding the fresh cases, according to data released by the ministry.
A total of 30,388 people died of COVID-19 in Pakistan, with two more deaths over the last 24 hours, according to the ministry's statistics.
On Saturday, 14,437 tests were conducted throughout Pakistan while the positivity rate stood at 2.81 percent.
Currently, there are 94 active cases that are in critical condition in the South Asian country. ■
