CONAKRY, April 2 (Xinhua) -- Three people were killed and six others injured on Thursday in a road accident on National Highway No. 1 between Kindia and Mamou, Guinea, according to local media.
According to preliminary reports, the accident was caused by a collision between a sand-laden truck and a public transport vehicle carrying 10 passengers.
Initial findings by regional road safety authorities indicate that failure to follow traffic regulations, the poor condition of vehicles, and the narrowness of the road were among the main causes of the accident. ■
