TUNIS, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- Tunisian security forces have dismantled a drug trafficking network active in Sousse province in eastern Tunisia, arresting four individuals, the Tunisian National Guard said Thursday on its Facebook page.
The four arrested include two female members, it said, without mentioning the timing of the operation or the identities of the suspects.
During the operation, the security units also seized 16 plaques of cannabis, as well as a motorcycle used for transportation.
The Tunisian government has taken a strong stance against drug trafficking, arresting hundreds of individuals involved in the crime during recent nationwide operations. ■
