KHARTOUM, July 8 (Xinhua) -- At least 22 people were killed on Saturday in an air strike in Sudan's Omdurman city, according to Khartoum State's Health Ministry.
"The air strike in Dar al-Salam al-Amriya area, west of Omdurman, at dawn today (Saturday) killed 22 citizens and left a large number of others wounded," the ministry said in a statement posted on its Facebook page.
The Sudanese Army has not yet commented on the incident. The paramilitary Rapid Support Forces condemned in a statement what it called "the systematic bombing by planes" on Saturday morning on citizens in a number of residential neighborhoods west of Omdurman. ■
