MELBOURNE, June 25 (Xinhua) -- A man has been arrested after two others were hospitalized with serious injuries following a stabbing in Melbourne's outer-western suburbs late Wednesday.
A police statement on Thursday said that two males were located with injuries consistent with stab wounds on a street in the suburb of Melton, 38 km west of central Melbourne, around 11:50 p.m. local time on Wednesday night.
The first victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, and the second, also in his 20s, was hospitalized with serious injuries.
Police established a crime scene at a nearby car park where the stabbing is believed to have occurred, and a 22-year-old man was taken into custody when he self-presented at a police station.
"Police are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident," the statement said.
Anyone who witnessed the stabbing, or who has dashcam or CCTV footage, has been urged to contact investigators. ■
