TOKYO, July 15 (Xinhua) -- Four people were injured after a two-storey building being demolished in Fukuoka prefecture, southwestern Japan, collapsed on Tuesday, local media reported.
A passerby made an emergency call at around 1:40 p.m. local time, reporting that the commercial building, which was located in a residential area, had crumbled in the city of Kurume and multiple people were buried underneath, Kyodo News reported, citing local authorities.
The accident left three construction workers and a pedestrian injured, the report said.
Two of the workers, one in his 40s and another in his 20s, were reported to be unconscious, according to police.
Six workers were at the demolition site at the time. ■
