TEHRAN, April 23 (Xinhua) -- Iran has unveiled a 10-part incentive package to boost investment in its upstream oil and gas industries, the official news agency IRNA reported.
The package was unveiled in the presence of Iran's Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad at the event Strategic Transformation in Iran's Upstream Oil and Gas Sector, held here on Tuesday.
The package aims to enhance the appeal and competitiveness of Iran's upstream oil and gas contracts, targeting production increases to 4.8 million barrels of crude oil and 1.34 million cubic meters of gas per day, said the report.
At the event, the National Iranian Oil Company presented over 200 investment opportunities to investors, it said.
The country welcomes cooperation with both domestic and foreign investors, Paknejad said on the sidelines of the event. ■
