MINSK, March 31 (Xinhua) -- Belarusian president Alexander Lukashenko has appointed new governors of Minsk and Grodno regions, as well as a new energy minister, the press service of the Belarusian leader said on Monday.
Lukashenko appointed Alexei Kushnarenko chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee. Kushnarenko earlier worked as energy minister.
Yuri Karayev has been appointed chairman of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee. He worked as acting head of the region before the appointment.
Lukashenko also appointed Denis Moroz energy minister. Since 2021, Denis Moroz served as deputy energy minister. In 2016-2021, he led the design research enterprise Belgiprotopgaz. ■
