TASHKENT, March 31 (Xinhua) -- Three people were killed and 10 others injured as a result of a gas explosion at a mosque in Andijan region in eastern Uzbekistan, the country's Ministry of Emergency Situations said on Monday.
The incident happened earlier in the day when a gas-air mixture caused an explosion in the bathroom of the mosque, the ministry said.
An investigation into the cause of the explosion was underway. ■
