NEW DELHI, March 30 (Xinhua) -- Around 10 people were injured when some coaches of a passenger train derailed in India's eastern state of Odisha on Sunday, confirmed a senior spokesman of the Indian Railways.
The train derailment occurred in Odisha's Cuttack district, when as many as 11 coaches of the "Bangalore-Kamakhya Superfast Express" train went off the tracks near Nergundi railway station.
"As per the information we have, nearly 10 persons received simple injuries and they are undergoing medical treatment. We have no confirmed news about any human death in the incident. Investigation is on," said the Indian Railways' spokesman. ■
