GUANGZHOU, March 26 (Xinhua) -- Joint naval training between China and Thailand, code-named Blue Strike-2025, commenced on Wednesday at a military port in Zhanjiang, south China's Guangdong Province.

This marks the sixth instance of such joint training organized by China and Thailand, with the training scope expanding from the marine corps level to the naval fleet level.

Naval vessels from both countries completed their force assembly on Tuesday in preparation for the exercise.

This joint training serves as an important practice in implementing the consensus between the two navies. It aims to further deepen practical cooperation, enhance joint operational capabilities, and contribute positively to regional maritime security.

The exercise will continue until April 2.
