KABUL, March 26 (Xinhua) -- Afghan border police have uncovered 40 kg of methamphetamine at a crossing point in western Herat province, the Ministry of Interior Affairs said in a statement on Wednesday.
The contraband, which was hidden in a truck, was discovered during a routine check of a car at the Islam Qala border crossing point, which connects Afghanistan to Iran, the statement added.
Without disclosing further details, the statement indicated that no individuals have been arrested in connection with the trafficking, and the case is under investigation. ■
