NEW YORK, March 20 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 jolted Mid-Indian Ridge at 21:00:09 GMT on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 16.46 degrees south latitude and 66.60 degrees east longitude. ■
