JAKARTA, March 21 (Xinhua) -- The coach of the Indonesian national team, Fandi Andika Ramadhani, expressed his hope that the Indonesian national team will qualify for the main draw of the 2025 FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup in Singapore.
"Hopefully we can qualify, both men's and women's teams," the coach said in a press release issued by the Indonesian Basketball Association on Friday.
The 2025 FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup is scheduled to be held at OCBC Square in Singapore from March 26 to 30.
Ramadhani stated that, to maximize preparation time, he is focusing on strengthening defense and shooting accuracy, emphasizing that these two aspects are crucial for the team's readiness.
He noted that he will work hard in this year's tournament and aims to achieve the target of qualifying for the main draw.
The Indonesian men's 3x3 national team will compete in Group A of the qualifying round alongside Malaysia, China's Hong Kong, Bahrain, and Guam.
The women's 3x3 national team will play in Group D, competing against Turkmenistan, China's Macao, and Papua New Guinea. ■
