KABUL, March 19 (Xinhua) -- Torkham border, a major crossing point linking Afghanistan to Pakistan, was partially reopened on Wednesday for commercial goods and freight trucks after being closed for nearly a month, the local media outlet Tolonews reported.
The reopening took place after a series of meetings between business bodies of the two sides, it reported.
Citing local officials, the media outlet added that the border point would be reopened for ordinary people and patients on Friday. ■
