LUANDA, March 19 (Xinhua) -- Angola's economy is projected to grow by 3.61 percent in 2025, with inflation expected to reach 18.4 percent by the end of the year, the government said.
The forecast was presented at a meeting of the Economic Commission of the Council of Ministers in Luanda, the capital.
It was part of the government's Macroeconomic Executive Program for 2025, released on social media on Tuesday.
Growth is expected to be driven mainly by a 5.76 percent expansion in the non-oil sector, despite a projected 1.82 percentage point contraction in the oil and gas sector.
Preliminary data released recently by Angola's National Statistics Institute shows that the country's GDP grew by 4.4 percent in 2024, up from 0.9 percent in 2023. ■
