WARSAW, March 17 (Xinhua) -- FC Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski has said his side's second-half performance in their 4-2 victory over Atletico Madrid was an example of how the team should play in future matches.

Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres scored injury-time goals as Barcelona came back from two goals down away to Atletico Madrid to win 4-2 and return to the top of La Liga on Sunday, with their four goals coming in the last 20 minutes.

"It was only when we lost the second goal that we woke up. Fortunately, we were able to respond quickly. My goal made us believe in a good result again. That was the moment we got back into the game," Lewandowski told Polish media on Monday.

The 36-year-old striker said Barcelona's second-half performance is the path the team should follow.

"In the first half we lost the ball too often, we didn't create many chances. After the break, however, we were definitely better than our opponent. We have to continue this way. When we play unpredictably, we are more dangerous," he remarked.

Lewandowski also praised the performance of his compatriot and goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.

"His skills make our defense feel more confident. As a goalkeeper he shows great class and right mentality. The team accepted him quickly. That's how it works in sports, when you play at a high level, everyone immediately sees you positively," added the Pole.

Barcelona sits top of La Liga ahead of Real Madrid, with both sides level on 60 points, while the Catalans have a game in hand.
