JINAN, March 16 (Xinhua) -- Shandong came from behind to beat Shenzhen 111-100 away with a 22-2 surge on Saturday night in the 40th round of the Chinese Basketball Association league (CBA) regular season.

The home side Shenzhen suppressed Shandong on both ends from the beginning, establishing a four-point lead by the end of the first quarter. The following quarter was relatively intense as the first half ended up with 61-62.

In the third quarter, Gao Shiyan, Christ Koumadje, and Jarmar Gulley led Shandong to play an attack of 11-0. However, Gulley's offensive foul interrupted Shandong's momentum while Shenzhen took the chance and quickly rebounded.

In the last quarter, Shenzhen had widened the gap to 10 points, but only to see Chriss returned to the game and made the difference to lead a 22-2 run, helping Shandong turn around the game.

Chriss took 31 points and 15 rebounds for Shandong. However, he has accumulated 11 technical fouls, which means he will be suspended for the next game. Markell Johnson scored 23 points on top of six assists for Shenzhen.

On the same day, Beijing Royal Fighters edged Tianjin Pioneers 99-96 for a third straight win. Beijing had established a huge 21-point lead in the third quarter, but Tianjin caught up at 94-94 with less than three minutes to go. Beijing was trailing Tianjin at 95-96 when Liao Sanning stole the ball and made his layup and the following freethrow to secure Beijing the dramatic victory.

In other games, the Zhejiang Lions beat the Guangdong Southern Tigers 110-94, the Fujian Sturgeons lost to the Xinjiang Flying Tigers 103-104, the Beijing Ducks smashed the Ningbo Rockets 127-92, the Jilin Northeast Tigers was defeated by the Shanghai Sharks 127-133, the Nanjing Monkey Kings beat the Zhejiang Golden Bulls 99-93, the Guangzhou Loong Lions downed the Sichuan Blue Whales 87-79, the Jiangsu Dragons lost to the Liaoning Flying Leopards 88-94, and the Shanxi Loongs beat the Qingdao Eagles 140-131.
