VIENTIANE, March 12 (Xinhua) -- Laos' National Assembly (NA)'s ninth legislature will convene its second extraordinary session to address important national issues.
At a press conference on Tuesday, Secretary of the National Assembly Amphayvone Lombounpheng announced that the session is scheduled to take place from March 17 to 20.
During the session, lawmakers will discuss and approve amendments to the Law on Local Governance and the Law on Civil Servants. They will also review the government's organizational structure.
Additionally, the session will address an investigation report on special policies for investors in the industrial sector.
The National Assembly will review five key items, including the approval of the 2025 Public Governance Improvement Report, amendments to the Local Governance and Civil Servant Laws, the government's administrative work, and the investigation into policies for industrial sector investors. ■
