YANGON, March 11 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar's exports of rice and broken rice in the first 11 months of the 2024-25 fiscal year reached over 2.37 million tons, according to the Myanmar Rice Federation on Tuesday.

The country earned 1.09 billion U.S. dollars from rice and broken rice exports during the 11 months, from April last year to February this year.

Of the total, over 129,452 tons of rice and broken rice were exported in February this year, the federation said.

During the period, Myanmar exported rice and broken rice via both sea and land routes to more than 30 countries.

In the 2023-24 fiscal year, Myanmar exported over 1.6 million tons of rice and broken rice, generating more than 845 million dollars in revenue, official data showed.
